Meditation relieves stress, improves concentration, increases self-awareness and happiness, increases concentration and slows aging.

It’s good for blood pressure and immune system strength. It relieves anxiety, promotes emotional health including reducing depression, generates kindness, improves sleep and helps control pain.

I teach an Introduction to Meditation and Mindfulness course, an 8 to 16 class series that introduces meditation to the new meditator. The class was created by me as a 22-class, 3-month 6th grade Wellness class at a middle school. Ninety percent of the students had never meditated prior to the class and by the end of the 3 months, they were comfortable with meditation and managed their stress better than before.
